Please come visit me at THE FRET SHOP or contact me below. JONATHAN W. ROSE
I've been in love with guitars since I was a kid....I've played in blues, rock and roll bands and jazz combos, as well as with country, bluegrass and old time players in the area.
For years, I've made my living as a woodworker/furniture builder. In my spare time, I have built my own archtop guitars and restored and repaired countless other guitars. One of my favorite guitars is my '53 Gibson L4. It was found in really bad shape and I brought it back to life. It's a perfect example of what I love to do, and that is, to find a gem in the rough that needs help and give it back its mojo. See some photos of the process on the Repairs page.
THE FRET SHOP is a chance for me to share my passions, talents and expertise with the larger community.
My goal is that a visit to THE FRET SHOP will offer you the goods (instruments, picks, stands, strings) that you need, but also a place to find a musical home.
In the future, I hope to sponsor jams where musicians can connect with other musicians in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
THE FRET SHOP is now offering lessons for all ability levels.
I'm excited to be sharing my love of fretted instruments and the music they can make with you.
